Queen – Love of My Life

Love of my life – you’ve hurt me
You’ve broken my heart and now you leave me
Love of my life can’t you see
Bring it back, bring it back
Don’t take it away from me, because you don’t know
What it means to me

Love of my life don’t leave me
You’ve taken my love, (all of my love) and now desert me
Love of my life can’t you see
(Please bring it back) bring it back, bring it back (back)
Don’t take it away from me (take it away from me)
Because you don’t know (ooh ooh ooh know means to me)
What it means to me

Who will remember
When this is blown over
And everything’s all by the way – (ooh yeah)
When I grow older
I will be there at your side to remind you
How I still love you – (i still love you)

Ooh, back – hurry back
Please bring it back home to me
Because you don’t know what it means to me
Love of my life
Love of my life
Ooh, ooh

#Otd, January 17th 2008 – #Queen received Gold & Platinum awards for #QueenRockMontreal & #LiveAid in #USA . 👑 If you listen to the music and lyrics there is a broader emotional palette than we are used to hearing from pop music or even rock. The deep depression of “sometimes I wish I’d never been born at all” that pokes its head out early in “Bohemian Rhapsody” and just as quickly disappears is so much more telling and heartbreaking. The totally recognizable mix of appeal and complaint in the prayerful form of “Somebody To Love” does more to convince the straight reader that our feelings are the same. When Mercury asks the question, “why can’t we give love that one more chance?” I always get the shivers down my spine. Could social problems, religious question, have such simple answers? Perhaps there is another way of caring about ourselves; one that doesn’t involve surrendering our most deeply held beliefs but does involve questioning our assumptions about how we are to respond to those who do not share them. Love dares you to care for them. Not just their physical needs, but their deepest, core selves. The more we practice loving others, the more equipped we are to love ourselves. I think that’s a Christian truth. Or, at the very least, I think it is compatible with Christian teaching. I never learned it in church, though.I learned it from Freddie Mercury . These parts taken from a review of ✒©Kenneth R. Morefield on Queen Rock Montreal & Freddie..I just love this review , so beautifully written. I wish I could share it all , I have shared another part before & will share again. But this very part , in my opinion, summarizes a lot of the great effect on us of Queen songs & the very high emotional impact of Freddie`s compositions & how he interpreted them. To me it`s raw & sincere feeling , just like Freddie was made of.And that`s why we have him & all he did carved in our hearts forever❤️✨.Leaving you with #LoveOfMyLife performance from this gig, I think it`s a wonderful example complementing all said here ❤️✨ . . 🌠 #FreddieMercury #FarrokhBulsara #JohnDeacon #RogerTaylor #BrianMay
